1. CONTEST ORGANIZERS: SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S. (IKEA) (hereinafter referred to as "The organizers") will carry out the promotion called "DEAR MOM WITH IKEA FAMILY" (hereinafter referred to as "The promotion"), which will be governed by the rules established in this regulation (hereinafter referred to as "The Promotion Rules"). Draw held among customers who join the IKEA Family club during the promotion period and are or become holders of the IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY LOYALTY card.
2. DURATION AND TERRITORIAL SCOPE: This promotion will be valid in the Dominican Republic from the 1st to the 26th of May 2024. The participation area is comprised of the Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago zones.
3. PROMOTION MECHANICS: Customers from the geographical area of Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago who are or join the IKEA Family club during the promotion period and become holders of the IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY LOYALTY card, registering their invoices with a minimum of RD$2,500 between the 1st and the 26th of May 2024 have the opportunity to participate to be one of the 9 LITE or VISA winners of (9) nine purchase checks of 10 thousand pesos and (1) one VISA winner of a purchase check of 100,000 pesos. They can join the club by completing the form via web at www.IKEA.com.do and by registering to become a member of the IKEA Family club, and to the contest by completing the form after the purchase.
Upon notification to the Pro-Consumer Institute, THE ORGANIZERS may cancel the promotion, modify the dates, the terms and conditions of these promotion rules, as well as the prizes presented, at any time for justified and notified cause to Pro-Consumer for approval. In case of cancellation or changes in the promotion, it will be notified on our website www.IKEA.com.do, on social media, or at the IKEA store in the Dominican Republic.
4. PARTICIPANTS: All individuals over eighteen (18) years of age, who are or join the IKEA Family club during the promotion period and become holders of the IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY LOYALTY card, may participate. They must reside in the areas of Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago. Employees of the company Sarton Dominicana SAS are excluded from this promotion.
5. PARTICIPATION DATES: From the 1st to the 26th of May 2024.
6. WINNERS: On June 3, 2024, the 10 IKEA FAMILY VISA and/or IKEA Family LOYALTY cardholder winners will be selected within the organizers' facilities, in the presence of a notary and the promotion results winners will be announced through IKEA Dominican Republic social media.
7. PRIZE: The prizes will be as follows:
- 9 winners of purchase checks of RD$10,000 pesos
- 1 winner of a purchase check of RD$100,000 pesos.
For a total of RD$190,000 in 10 prizes. The geographical participation area is the Santo Domingo, Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Romana, and Santiago Zone.
The winner must come to claim their prize at the IKEA Store where the invoice was issued. An alternate winner will be selected in case of disqualification of the original winner. Winners understand and accept that it will not be possible to refund the money for items purchased with this prize. The prize is non-transferable and must be claimed by the winner or their legal representative no later than June 30, 2024. Under no circumstances will the prize be exchangeable for another or its cash value. To claim the prize, it is essential that the customer presents their identity document.
THE ORGANIZERS are not responsible in case of loss or theft of the prize. The winner will be contacted by phone or email from the end of the winner selection, BY AN ORGANIZER'S STAFF (similarly, the winner will be published no later than June 5, 2024, and the result will be published on IKEA Dominican Republic social media (@IKEArepublicadominicana), the website www.IKEA.com.do.
The prize withdrawal is strictly personal, the winner must go to the administrative office of SARTON DOMINICANA, SAS, at Av. John F. Kennedy corner Bienvenido García Gautier Street, El Pino, D.N., and must present the following documents, after being contacted by the company to coordinate the details with them:
- Identity Document: ID Card or Passport
- IKEA FAMILY VISA or IKEA FAMILY LOYALTY card.
- Legalized representation power of attorney in Spanish plus document of identity of grantor and attorney. (If the withdrawal is not personal). In order to guarantee the legitimacy of the winner, we may request some additional documents.
The customer releases THE ORGANIZERS from any liability as long as the fact is not attributable to the providers, as a result of the acceptance or use of the prize. Likewise, within the promotion validity period, if a participant "opts for our return policy" and returns their purchase, they will automatically be disqualified from participating in the promotion. All taxes, fees, or expenses incurred by the winner to receive or claim the prize and any other unspecified expenses are the absolute responsibility of the customer.
8. PERSONAL DATA: The personal data that participants provide to participate in this promotion will be incorporated into a data file, owned by SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S, domiciled at Av. John F. Kennedy corner Bienvenido García Gautier, Santo Domingo, National District El Pino CP 10508.
9. USE OF WINNERS' NAMES AND IMAGE: Pursuant to the provisions of the Organic Law on Personal Data Protection No. 172-13, participants in promotions automatically consent to the use and processing of the data provided, for the purpose of participating in the promotion, and also for the investigation, promotion, and marketing of THE ORGANIZERS' products and services. Likewise, the personal information requested for the purpose of this promotion will not be disclosed to any other organization except with the express consent of the contestant. Participants, in the event of winning, automatically consent, by participating in this promotion, to the use, publication, and reproduction worldwide and without limitation, by THE ORGANIZERS, of their image and name in any type of advertising, promotion, publication, including the Internet, for commercial or informational purposes as long as they are related solely to this promotion, without THE ORGANIZERS having to pay any financial compensation to the winning participant for this fact; these publications will be made within a time frame of six (6) months, starting from the end of the promotion. If the winning participant is not interested in participating in these publications, they may send an email to lopd@ikeasi.com rejecting their consent. 10. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES: Mere participation in the promotion implies the acceptance of these rules and also the consent in accordance with the ORGANIC LAW ON PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION No. 172-13 by the participants that the registered data may be used by SARTON DOMINICANA S.A.S to communicate other campaigns, or promotions. In case of doubts or discrepancies in the interpretation of these rules, they will be referred to common law. The rules will be available during the period in which the promotion is valid at the IKEA Store in the Dominican Republic and on the website.
11. GENERAL: Any attempt at betting, or similar methods are prohibited. No automatic, programmed, robotic, or similar registration will be allowed. THE ORGANIZERS may disqualify or exclude from the promotion those participants who, directly or indirectly, have altered, breached, or violated the rules established in these Promotion Rules.
12. APPLICABLE LAW: This promotion is governed by the current legislation in the Dominican Republic and by these rules.
