Terracotta is a ceramic type whose burnt clay has a characteristic brownish-red tone and a porous structure. At IKEA we use terracotta primarily for plant pots.

"With DAKSJUS self-watering plant pot, we wanted to create a smart way to grow at home. Especially for those who are busy or forget to water. Here the plants get the water they need and in the four compartments you can also grow various types of plants or flowers and give them soil that suits their needs. The design with the smooth glazed stoneware and the rustic terracotta creates a contrast that enhances the look of the plants. We hope the plant pot makes them flourish!”
