Very quiet at the lower fan speeds, so you can have the air purifier on without being disturbed by the sound.
The air purifier can be set to auto mode, which means that it automatically detects the particles (PM2.5) in the air and then adjusts the fan speed, so you can think about other things.
By connecting STARKVIND to TRÅDFRI gateway, you can control the air purifier with the IKEA Home smart app. You can also, for example, see the air quality and set timers for cleaning the air.
The air quality is measured by a sensor that detects PM2.5 (2,5 µm) particles in the air.
The air purifier is integrated in a side table that goes well with your decor and saves you space at home.
You can hide the cable in one of the table legs and inside the air purifier to avoid cable clutter.

Combinations
The air purifier comes with a particle filter so it purifies the air from various particles as efficiently as possible. You can also buy a gas filter and use the two filters together.

Purifies the air in a space of up to 215 square feet, depending on which fan speed the air purifier is set to.
It will take longer time to purify the air if the room is larger than 215 square feet, but you can always use several air purifiers to cover a larger area.

STARKVIND table with air purifier makes it easy for you to improve the quality of your indoor air.
The particle filter is optimized to filter away approximately 99.5% of smaller airborne particles such as PM2.5 particles, dust, and pollen.
PM2.5 are small inhalable particles, that measure 0.1-2.5 micrometers.
The gas filter (sold separately) purifies the air from various gaseous pollutants such as formaldehyde, which can be found in things like cleaning/household products and various fabrics and materials.
You can set the air purifier to five different fan speeds and thereby adapt it to the needs of your home or use it in Auto-mode.
The control lock function allows you the leave the air purifier on without worry, even if you have children at home. A long press of the control knob activates the lock.

The gas filter helps to reduce the odor of smoke, cooking odors and other unpleasant odors that may be present in the home.
Set the air purifier to sleep mode, the lowest fan speed with low noise, during the night so you can sleep well while the air is purified.

Other information
Check the filter regularly to see if it’s dirty. An LED indicator illuminates when you need to check your filters and possibly replace them. The filter is recommended to be replaced within 6 months.
It’s easy to lift and remove the table’s top to clean the pre-filter or replace the particle filter, as well any optional gas filter that you may have added.
The particle filter is tested according to EN 1822-1 and ISO 29463-3 which corresponds to class EPA12.

Purifies your air and holds your cup
Is STARKVIND a table to put your coffee cup on or an air purifier? It is both! At IKEA, we like to think differently to get as much as possible out of every space. One way to do it, is to join two functions in one product. But it also means extra tough quality requirements. If your cup tips over, you don’t have to worry that the coffee trickles into the air purifier. The liquid gathers in grooves underneath the table and drips on the floor instead.
