SPONSOR OF THE INITIATIVE: SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S. (IKEA) (hereinafter, the “ORGANIZERS”) will conduct the promotion called “THANK YOU FOR MAKING A HOME” (hereinafter, the “Call for Entries”), which will be governed by these rules and conditions.

DURATION AND TERRITORIAL SCOPE: This Call for Entries will be valid in the Dominican Republic from September 1 through November 30, 2026. The initiative applies to customers of IKEA Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Romana, and Bávaro.

PARTICIPANTS: All persons over eighteen (18) years of age who complete the contest process described in Section 5, Contest Process, may participate during the promotional period at IKEA stores located in Santo Domingo, La Romana, Santiago, and Bávaro.
Employees, directors, partners, collaborators, or contractors of SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S. (IKEA), as well as their immediate family members and any persons or companies that have directly participated in the organization, execution, or evaluation of this Call for Entries, may not participate.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: To participate, the customer must make a minimum purchase of one thousand Dominican pesos and zero cents (RD$1,000.00) at any IKEA physical store located in Santo Domingo, Santiago, Bávaro, or at the La Romana delivery point, or online during the validity period of the Call for Entries. Purchases made at the restaurant, Swedish Shop, bistro, or As-Is section will not be eligible.
The customer must then access the special section enabled at www.ikea.com.do, “Thank You for Making a Home,” or go to the customer service area at any IKEA store in Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Romana, or Bávaro and submit their entry by completing the required information and attaching their invoice as proof of purchase.
Each invoice may be used for one (1) entry only.
The participant must share the true story of a family member, friend, or loved one whom they consider deserving of a transformation of a space in their home and select (1) of the following areas: living room, dining room, bedroom, or bathroom, through the digital form on the website IKEA.COM.DO or by writing a physical letter and placing it in the mailboxes located in the customer service area.
The stories will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary committee appointed by IKEA Dominican Republic, taking into consideration the following criteria: human impact of the story, authenticity and truthfulness, need for the space, technical feasibility of the intervention, storytelling potential, and alignment with the brand’s values, for the selection of the winning participant.
The committee’s decisions will be final and will not require further justification.

BENEFIT GRANTED: The selected participants will be contacted by email or telephone to schedule an in-person appointment at an IKEA store or a virtual appointment, where they will receive a transformation proposal for the approved space using IKEA products and services determined exclusively by IKEA Dominican Republic.
The transformation may include furniture, accessories, decoration, textiles, lighting, organizational solutions, and installation, as determined by IKEA Dominican Republic.
The maximum value of each transformation will be up to RD$150,000, an amount determined by IKEA Dominican Republic according to the budget allocated for this specific Call for Entries, product availability, and project feasibility.
IKEA Dominican Republic reserves the right to replace any product initially contemplated with another product having similar characteristics in the event of stock shortages, discontinuation, or operational limitations.

BENEFICIARY REPRESENTATION: Each story must be submitted by a representative (hereinafter, the “Representative”), who must have a direct relationship with the final beneficiary.
The Representative will act as the main contact throughout the evaluation, design, coordination, and execution of the transformation.
Decisions, approvals, authorizations, and instructions issued by the Representative will be considered valid and binding on the final beneficiary.
IKEA Dominican Republic will be released from any claim arising from disagreements between the Representative and the final beneficiary regarding decisions made during the project.

SPACE INSPECTION AND VALIDATION: Before confirming a transformation, IKEA Dominican Republic may conduct technical visits and interviews, take measurements, request photographs or videos, or perform any other verification it deems necessary.
The company may reject any preliminarily selected story when:
a) The information provided is false, incomplete, or inaccurate.
b) The space has structural, sanitary, or safety conditions that prevent the intervention.
c) There are technical or logistical restrictions that make the project impossible.
d) The participant fails to comply with any of these rules.
The final beneficiary and the Representative must allow reasonable access to the property for evaluation, documentation, installation, and delivery purposes.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE BENEFIT: The final beneficiary must expressly accept their participation and sign the documents, authorizations, and consents required by IKEA Dominican Republic before the project is carried out.
If the selected participant or beneficiary does not respond to the notification from IKEA within ten (10) business days following the first contact, IKEA may reject the story and select another participant.

BENEFIT CONDITIONS: The benefit is personal and non-transferable.
It may not be sold, assigned, exchanged for cash, credit, discounts, refunds, or replaced with other products or services at the request of the participant or beneficiary.
Due to the nature of the initiative, the products, furniture, accessories, and other items delivered or installed as part of the transformation may not be returned, exchanged, refunded, or credited, except for defects covered by legally applicable warranties.
All additional expenses not expressly covered by IKEA Dominican Republic will be the sole responsibility of the participant or beneficiary.

PERSONAL DATA: The personal data provided will be processed in accordance with Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data and IKEA Dominican Republic’s Privacy Policy.

USE OF IMAGE, VOICE, AND TESTIMONIALS: Participants and beneficiaries authorize IKEA Dominican Republic to capture, reproduce, communicate, publish, and disseminate photographs, videos, voice recordings, testimonials, images, and content related to the initiative.
They also authorize the use of the submitted story, including its adaptation, summary, reproduction, and public communication for promotional, advertising, corporate, and informational purposes.
This authorization is granted for use in print, audiovisual, digital media, social networks, websites, catalogs, and any other communication medium used by IKEA Dominican Republic.
The authorization will be valid indefinitely and without additional financial compensation.

LIABILITY: IKEA Dominican Republic will not be liable for pre-existing damage to the home, structural failures, construction problems, defective installations, or situations unrelated to the intervention carried out.
Likewise, it may suspend, modify, or cancel any transformation when it identifies risks to the safety of participants, collaborators, contractors, or third parties.

MODIFICATIONS: IKEA Dominican Republic may modify, suspend, or cancel this Call for Entries for justified reasons, communicating this through its official channels.

GENERAL: IKEA Dominican Republic may disqualify any participant who fails to comply with these rules.

APPLICABLE LAW: This Call for Entries will be governed by the laws in force in the Dominican Republic and by these rules and conditions.
