NAME OF THE PROMOTION: “16 Years Well Played”

PROMOTION SPONSOR: SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S. (IKEA) (hereinafter referred to as “THE ORGANIZER”) will hold the tournament called “16 Años Bien Jugados” (hereinafter referred to as “THE TOURNAMENT”), which will be governed by the rules set forth in this document (hereinafter referred to as “THE RULES”).

TERRITORIAL SCOPE: THE TOURNAMENT will be held in the Dominican Republic, at the IKEA Santo Domingo facilities and/or at locations determined by THE ORGANIZER within the established validity period.

PARTICIPANTS: Natural persons over 18 years of age who register in advance according to the mechanism established by THE ORGANIZER may participate.

Participation will be in pairs (2 players per team).

Employees of THE ORGANIZER and their immediate family members may not participate.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

5.1 General Format

• The tournament will be played in pairs (2 vs. 2).
• Each table will host four (4) pairs (8 players).
• Each pair will play independently against the other pairs at their table.
• Each match will be played until a pair reaches or exceeds one hundred (100) points.
• The first pair to reach or exceed 100 points will win that match.

5.2 Table Competition System

• Each pair must face all other pairs at their table.
• Each victory will award one (1) point in the standings.
• At the end of the matches, the pair with the highest number of victories will advance to the next round.
• In case of a tie:
  • The accumulated point difference will be taken into account.
  • If the tie persists, a decisive hand will be played.
• Only one (1) pair per table will advance to the next phase.

5.3 Match Rules (up to 100 points)

Start of Play:

• Tiles will be shuffled and dealt in the traditional manner.
• The hand will start with the pair that holds the double six (6-6).
• In subsequent rounds, the pair that won the previous hand will start.

How to win a hand:

• The hand is won by the pair that closes.
• In case of a block (tranca), the pair with the lower tile score wins.

Scoring:

• The winning pair will add the points corresponding to the opponent pair's remaining tiles.
• Points will be accumulated until reaching or exceeding 100 points.

ADVANCEMENT AND TOURNAMENT FINAL:

• The winning pair from each table will advance to the next phase.
• Rounds will continue in the same format until the Grand Final.
• The pair that wins the Final will be declared champion of the “16 Años Bien Jugados” tournament.

PARTICIPATION RULES:

• Pairs must remain composed of the same players throughout the tournament.
• Substitutions will not be allowed once THE TOURNAMENT has started.
• If a pair does not show up at the time of their match, they will forfeit by default after the waiting time defined by THE ORGANIZER.
• THE ORGANIZER may request identification to validate participation.

CONDUCT AND FAIR PLAY:

• It is strictly prohibited to make signals, codes or any type of communication that unduly influences the game.
• Respect towards players, referees, organizers and the attending public is required.
• The decisions of the referee or organizing committee shall be final and unappealable.
• Any unsportsmanlike conduct may result in immediate disqualification.

PRIZE:

The winning pair of the “16 Años Bien Jugados” TOURNAMENT will receive as a prize:

One (1) Purchase Voucher with a total value of Six Thousand Dominican Pesos (RD$6,000.00).

Prize conditions:

• The purchase voucher will be delivered to the winning pair at the end of the Grand Final.
• The voucher value corresponds to a single prize per pair, not per participant.
• The purchase voucher may be used at IKEA stores and/or points in the Dominican Republic.
• The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.
• The purchase voucher will be subject to the general terms of use established by THE ORGANIZER.
• To claim the prize, winners must present valid identification.

THE ORGANIZER will not be responsible for loss, damage or improper use of the purchase voucher once delivered.

PERSONAL DATA:

Personal data provided by participants will be incorporated into a file owned by SARTON DOMINICANA, S.A.S., in accordance with Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data.

The Privacy Policy may be consulted at www.ikea.com.do.

USE OF IMAGE:

Participants authorize THE ORGANIZER to use their name and image in promotional materials related to THE TOURNAMENT for a period of six (6) months after its conclusion, without additional monetary compensation.

If they do not wish to be included in such publications, they may notify by email to lopd@ikea.com.do.

MODIFICATIONS AND GENERAL PROVISIONS:

THE ORGANIZER may modify these rules, dates or tournament conditions for justified cause, notifying through the corresponding official channels.

Any attempt to alter the normal development of the tournament will result in immediate disqualification.

APPLICABLE LAW:

THE TOURNAMENT is governed by the laws in force in the Dominican Republic and by these rules.
