For added durability and so you can enjoy the natural expression of the wood, the furniture has been pre-treated with several layers of semi-transparent wood stain.
The chair is easy to store when not in use, since you can stack up to 6 chairs on top of each other.
The eucalyptus slats have grain variations and natural color shifts that give the furniture a warm and natural look.
You can make your chair more comfortable and personal by adding a chair pad in a style you like.
The frame is made of rust-proof aluminum which makes it sturdy, lightweight, and maintenance free.

Care instructions
The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary, and re-staining it on a regular basis.
Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.
Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.
Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

Impossible design
Sometimes things don’t go the way you expect. When we developed SJÄLLAND outdoor furniture we faced a number of problems on the way. The good thing is that they all led to improvements, or as expressed by David Wahl, the designer: “It’s problems like this that we like. They make us better, and in the case of SJÄLLAND, they also make outdoor life easier and more comfortable”.
When Phuong Nguyen Thanh, one of our technicians, first saw the design of the armrests on the SJÄLLAND chair he said: “Oh no, that’s impossible! There isn’t a machine that can bend aluminum like that.” But since these armrests add functionality and character, Phuong and the development team decided to continue with the design anyway. The result? A stackable chair with impossible bends and twists.
Easy-care aluminum/lovable durable eucalyptus
Rust-proof, weather-resistant and easy-care aluminum combined with durable hardwood eucalyptus. For maximum protection the wood is pre-treated with wood stain. By re-staining the wood now and then you can enjoy it for many years to come.
